New Haircut!

Well if you didn't notice, I got my haircut! I told you about it in my last post and I finally took some pictures. Here are some more:

I think she cut it shorter then it was suppose to be. I try to straighten it, but my never does what I want it to do. I'm getting use to it though. Let me know what you think!

Catch Up!

Hey! Sorry it's taken me awhile to post something. It seems like every night I have had something going on and we have been to busy at work so I haven't been able to post anything there. So, let me tell you whats been going on. I went to see Brian Regan at Thanksgiving Point on August 15. He is freakin hilarious!!! Seriously, if you haven't seen or heard of him, you should check him out! I went and saw the new movie House Bunny. It was pretty funny. I don't think it is one I would buy though. Lets see, what else?

School started today. Well, I don't have a class til tomorrow, but I did start my online class today. Tomorrow after I have my first class I am going into the lab to take a keyboarding test. If I pass then I am done with that class! I sure hope I pass. I need to pass with 40 wpm with 10 or fewer errors, or 35 with 5 or fewer. I took some typing tests online today and my average was 70 wpm. Its the whole 10 or fewer errors though that scare me. I do backspace often LOL.

I cut my hair short! I will post a pic when I get one. My batteries in my camera are dead, they don't keep a charge, so I need to buy some new ones. I did it on Saturday and I am still getting use to it. I think it will take me awhile, but everyone so far has liked it. Not sure if they are just saying that, but I haven't gotten a bad reaction yet.

I was suppose to go to my dad's up in Montana this weekend for Labor Day, but it got cancelled. With gas being so high, my sister and brother in law can't afford their portion and I can't pay for all of it, so we had to cancel. It sucks because it's been months since I have seen him and the rest of the fam. They are coming down Sept 27 though for my cousins weddding. I guess I will just have to wait to see them then.

I think that's about it. I know I have been busy, but nothing exciting to post. Keep checkin back to see my new haircut and see how school is going. I gotta get ready for FHE. Mount Timp. Caves

This last Saturday I hiked Mt. Timp. up to the caves. Yes, you read right. I was told that it wasn't that bad, only 1 1/2 miles and that it wasn't steep...HA HA HA! It was hard! Well, I guess I should say it was hard for me. I am very proud of myself though. I wanted to turn around and go down so many times, but I didn't give up! My calves were killing me, I had a pain in my right shoulder, and I only had one water bottle, I made it though! I did have some help. We combined with the Northridge Branch and their branch president stayed back with me. He even massaged my calves, which by the way helped a lot! Thank goodness for President Smith! Then when I had just a couple of zig zags yet (if you have been there you know what I mean) I had some of my friends come down to walk up with me! They were cheering me on and pushing me up the hill. I tell ya, having people supporting ya really helps! Once we got to the top we took a tour through the caves. It was interesting. I wish the tour was longer though. Took me 1 1/2 hours to hike to the top and the tour was only about 45 min. I am not sure if it really was that long since I wasn't looking at my watch, but it wasn't more then an hour I know that. After the hike and tour we went to the Mayan at Jordan Commons. It was good. Then I came home and slept. I forgot to mention that we were suppose to meet at 6am, so I was going to pick my friend up at 5:45, well that didn't happen. I get a voicemail at 6 from Liz asking where I was, and I had just woke up. I actually didn't hear my phone ring when she called, just when it went off that I had a voicemail. My friend Lindsey also texted me and I didn't hear it. I don't know what happened, but my clock said 3 when it was actually 6. So I was rushing and got to the church at 6:30 just as they were leaving. So, I was pretty tired. I slept when I got home. Here are some pics from the hike:

What's going on with Heather??

Well, my parents are now back from Virginia. They got back at 8:30pm on Sunday. They were orginally suppose to come in at 11PM, but their flight got changed. I liked it better anyway at 8:30 Ü So, now I am back at my apartment. I feel like I haven't been there for weeks. During the 24th-26th I was at Lake Lyman, then on the 28th-3rd I was at my parents house. Then Monday I had a concert and Tuesday I was at parents hanging with them. I usually go to my parents house every Sunday, but since they weren't here last Sunday and this Sunday I will be busy, I figured I would hang with them Tuesday. So, last night was the first night I actually felt like I was back. What did I do all night?? LAUNDRY! Considering it had been almost 2 weeks since I did it. I figured I needed clean clothes LOL I also watched So You Think You Can Dance. I want Josh or Twitch to win. Normally I don't vote. I think the only season I voted was when Benji won, which was Season 2. Because I couldn't decide on which one I wanted to win and voted for both. I figured I helped both of them and the rest of America can decide for me.

Tonight I have Baptisms for the Dead, tomorrow night I have a movie night with my ward and another one. Then Saturday I am going to Mt. Timp. with my ward the same ward I will be with Friday night. We are going to the caves, not actually hiking the mountain. Thank goodness! Then Sunday is my friend Sandee's brothers farewell at 1 then a lunch after. Then at 6 I am going with one of my best friends to get her patriarichal (did I spell that right?) blessing. She doesn't have any family that is LDS so she asked me to go. I feel honored! I guess I do have a lot going on.

I think it's funny that sometimes you think you are going to be bored during the Summer without school, but then you think back at everything you have done, and you are pretty busy. I don't know one person who could say that they didn't do anything during the Summer. Sadly, it's now coming to an end. Aug 25 school starts, well technically the 26 for me since I have classes Tuesdays and Thursdays. Then I will be really busy and hoping it was Summer again. I hope you all enjoy these last few weeks of Summer! I know I will sure try! Ü

Jasper

So as some of you may know this week I have been staying at my parents house and taking care of their dog. His name is Jasper and he is an ice cream hound! Last night I had some Ben and Jerry's and I let him lick the container. As you can see, he loved it! Got his whole nose into it. Afterwards there was chocoloate all over his nose. Then when I was trying to take a picture of him, he licked his lips and I took it just as he started. I thought it was pretty funny so I put that pic up. Now he is already brown as is, but if you look at the picture where he is looking at me, the brown around his nose is chocolate. It may look like his hair, but his hair isn't that dark...it's chocolate. He can be a pain in the butt, but he is pretty cute at the same time. Here are some more pics. He loves to cuddle next to me; which is strange because he never does. I just figured it's because his mom and dad are gone. He also has lots of toys and he likes to suck on them. Some of these pics are of him with "Buddah".

He's a pain in the butt, but he is also such a sweetie! I'm a sucker for dogs!
