Graduation, Endowments, and A New Car!!

Wow! Even when I am not in school I am still busy! Let me catch you up on three things that have happened to me:

#1 Graduation
I'M GRADUATED!!!!! (again) May 1 was my graduation from Weber State in Business Systems Technologies. It doesn't really feel like I have graduated because it's summer break and I am use to that. Come August I might start to feel weird with my roommate going to school and I am not. It does feel nice knowing that I don't have to go back and deal with registration and books though.

#2 Endowments
On my May 2 I went through the Bountiful Temple and received my endowments. Best experience in my life so far! The spirit is so strong in the temple! The best part was having my family there. My parents are divorced, so I have step parents, half siblings, and step siblings, but it was nice to have my biological family there: mom, dad, and sister. And to have the rest of my family there, stepmom, aunt, uncle, grandparents, cousins, and even ward family members there, was even better! I thank everyone who came, it really meant a lot to me. My sister was my guide and was there to help me every step of the way. I have been back to the temple. I went to the Salt Lake a week after I went through, and just last night I went to the Ogden. Both times my sister went with me. Now I feel comfortable enough to go by myself.

I have always wanted to receive my endowments, but the answer I always got was to wait and be patient. I now know that if I didn't wait I wouldn't have been able to have everyone there, especially my sister and mom. And it worked out doing it the same weekend as my graduation, that way my dad and family could make it down from Montana. Listen for those answers to your prayers. You may not understand the answers, but I promise that you eventually will. Going to temple made my testimony even stronger. I know that Jesus is my Savior and that every temple is the Lords house. You feel his presence no matter which temple you are in. The gospel is true! The church is true!

#3 New Car
Yep, that right. I bought a new car. It's a 2005 Chevy Equinox and I LOVE IT!!! I have been wanting a new car for a few years now, but never seriously looked until Saturday. I was actually tagging along with my mom and stepdad because he wanted a new truck. I figured I would look at them and get an idea of what I want. I actually have been looking online for a few months and when I came across the Equinox I knew I wanted something similar to it. We went to a few places and they didn't have anything we wanted. We then went to Murdock Chevrolet in Bountiful and we both found what we wanted. The funny thing was that his truck and my car were right next to each other. It's like they knew we were coming! LOL I drove it up to Monty Sunday and came home Monday and I love it even more now because it made it up the mountain without a problem! I know I made the right choice. So, if you know of anyone looking for a new car, I am selling my 1998 Chevy Malibu for 2,000 OBO. Let me know if you know of anyone that is interested :)

I will post pictures of all three events when I get home....well sometime I will :) It's taking me almost a month to post about my graduation and endowments, but even when I am not in school I am still busy. Just loving life right now :)

Thanks For Your Patience

Wow! How is it possibly that I could get so behind on my blogging? Sorry to leave ya hangin' guys! That's what I mean by thanks for your patience...you waited so long! :) You haven't missed much LOL. Where to start? Monday is my birthday...YEAH!!! I can't believe I am going to be 25! I remember thinking in high school that I couldn't believe I was in high school and now I am graduating college for the second time! I think this one is kinda hard for me because that means I am only 5 years away from 30. I don't even want to think about turning 30. Well, on my birthday I am going to go see Fall Out Boy with Sandee!!! I am SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!! I love FOB! The only time I saw them was in the E Center and now they are going to be performing at Saltair. I love the smaller venues better because the band gets into performing more. I think it's because they can see the crowd and perform to the whole crowd and not just those in GA. I will post about how much fun I had and the amazing pictures I take :)

Speaking of pictures...I bought a new camera! Early bday present to myself :) It is a Canon Coolpix and it's red :) I love it! I am so glad I bought that one. I wonder how good the video is on it...hmmm we shall find out soon! My last camera took crappy videos. You didn't get the sound, just static. So my bday is going to be eventful! I have work, then school, then the concert, and I get to use my camera at the concert. Eventful!

In a few weeks I will be graduating and going through the temple. May 1 I graduate and May 2 I get my endowments out. I am going to the Bountiful temple at 8:30AM. Early I know. I have to be there at 7AM! It's my own fault though. I wanted to schedule it early enough so I didn't have to deal with all the brides and their families. I wanted to be able to take pictures without waiting around. Plus I don't want to see all the brides and remind myself that I am not married LOL....one day :) And no dad I still don't want to try one of those internet dating websites! Wait until I am least graduated and into my career :)

I guess I could tell ya that I was one of those crazy people who waited outside til midnight to buy Twilight. I wasn't going to, but I started thinking about it and thought it would be fun. I called Sandee and she was thinking the same thing, so we both thought we would be dorks (not like we aren't already LOL). Anyway, so we started walking to Walmart, considering we live right behind it, and I saw Lindsey, the girl who cuts my hair. She was there by herself! So, I knew then that there was a reason I needed to go :) She said that she actually had been praying that I would show up since she knew I lived right behind Walmart. It's funny because we actually never had talked about Twilight before, so we didn't know each other read the books and liked the movie. I'm glad I went because it was fun...even though Walmart did jack! The Clinton Walmart did a bunch of stuff, but Layton did nothing! My sister went to the Clinton one and that's how I knew. Oh well :)

So, I am not a big reader, but Sandee got me Twilight for Christmas and I started reading it to see what all the hype was about. Plus I would feel bad if I didn't read it. It took me a few months to read it because I was so busy with school, reading books on the temple, reading my scriptures, and just life in general. Well, I finally finished it and thought I would get started on the second one that would take me awhile to read...yeah right! I finished it in 2 days! I think it took me awhile with the first one because I saw the movie so I knew what happened, but with the second one I didn't know. I wanted to know when Edward would come back so I kept reading! Then of course I had to find out what happened in the other books so I started reading those. Those took me a bit longer. I think it took a week to read one and a week to read the other. So, now I have finished the Twilight series! I started reading Midnight Sun on Stephenie's website, but I haven't gotten far. Maybe I should find another book to read. But it has to be something that will grab my attention like Twilight did. I'm just not a big reader....for the moment :)

I think there is one more thing I need to blog about. I started at the beginning of February going to Weight Watchers with my mom. I lost 6lbs in the first week, but that's the most I lost in one week. I have now lost a total of 16lbs. It seems like the last couple of weeks I have only lost like .2lbs here, .6lbs there. I don't know what the problem is. I do everything I am suppose to do. All I need to do is look 3 more lbs and I will have lost 20lbs. I guess I just need to try harder. It really isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I can eat anything, I just have to count the points. I get 27 points a day, plus an extra 35 that I could use throughout the week (I hardly ever use those points, only when I want a treat) and then I get extra points for exercising. I usually earn 2 extra points for each time I workout. I try to do 3 days a week, so I get 6 extra point, which I hardly ever use. I will try to post pictures. I didn't take one when I started, so you won't see a beginning picture, but each time I loose 5 or 10lbs I will post pictures :)

Well I think that is about it. I will try my hardest not to wait so long to post. Especially now that school has calmed down and I will be done in a few weeks. ADIOS! :)

Time To Update

Wow, well I haven't blogged in awhile because I have been so busy, yet nothing interesting has happened. I just have been busy with school and work. I graduate on May 1!!!!! I can't wait! And then on May 2 I am going to go through the Bountiful Temple and receive my endowments. I can't wait for that either!! That is going to be a busy weekend!

A couple weeks ago I went to St. George with some friends. We climbed the red rocks, went to the lava caves (I didn't go inside though cuz I was too scared. It was drop into an extremely dark cave...no thank you!). I did a lot of hiking that weekend. One thing that was not fun was me getting sick. I think I ate something bad. I got sick Friday night, where I couldn't eat anything. Let's just say it wasn't a pretty sight. Then Saturday I tried to eat, but anytime I took one bite my stomach got mad at me. So I didn't eat much down there. It was still fun though hanging with friends and taking a break from school and work. Some of us went to the temple to do baptisms for the dead. Let me just say that was amazing! It is such a gorgeous temple and to be inside the Lord's house (any of his houses) I feel the spirit so strong, no sense of Satan lingering, and knowing that others who have passed on now get the blessings I am promised makes me so happy! I hope all of you get to feel what I feel.

I did forget to mention in my last blog (I think it was my last blog) the Jazz game. I am pretty sure either Dad or Becca left that comment on my blog. I didn't forget about the Jazz game, I just forgot to mention it. When my dad and family were down from Billings for Christmas, my dad got us tickets to go to the Jazz game. It was really fun. I can't remember the last time I got to go to a game with my dad, and to go with my brothers and sisters made it even more fun. I love spending time with them :) LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Well, I think that is about it. Keep checking back. I know it takes me awhile to post something, but that's what happens when your life gets crazy busy! I will eventually post something :)

I know I know

Yes, yes, I know...you are probably wondering what happened to me. Well, nothing really, just life gets in the way. Lets see where to start....school is over for Fall, but it has started for Spring. My goal for the Fall semester was to get a 4.0 and I was only 4 points away from getting it too. My received an A- in my microsoft word class and I asked my professor how far away I was from getting an A and he said only 4 points. Usually I am not someone who gets upset about an A- but considering how close I was and that my goal was a 4.0, I was pretty upset. Hopefully I can get my 4.0 this semester.

What next? Hmmm...Christmas was great. My dad, stepmom, 2 of my brothers, and 1 of my sisters came down (well 2 but I only saw 1 for like 30 minutes). When they were here we went to Temple Square and toured it. We toured the conference center, Joseph Smith memorial building, Beehive House, both visitor centers, and we ate at the Lion House. We also stayed to see the lights. It was really great to be down there with family. I am usually only down in Temple Square with friends, and even then I don't go often and I have never toured the buildings. We saw the Joseph Smith movie, which of course I cried. I have seen it like 5 times now and everytime I cry. I felt the spirit so strong when I was down there that it made me believe what I believe even more. If you haven't gone down and toured Temple Square, then you should. It's amazing!

Nothing else has really happened. I have been busy, but mainly with school and then the holidays, and now I will busy again with school. I will try my best to update my blog, but if you don't hear from me for awhile don't worry, I'm still alive :)
