SYTYCD and Concerts

Oh my goodness! Last night was so much fun! I went to see So You Think You Can Dance. It was AMAZING!! It is so much different seeing the dances live then on tv. They performed a lot too. The show was about 3 hours long. First they all came out and did a group dance then they introduced themselves. Twitch was the one to welcome everyone then he was like "I know someone who can get this crowd louder" then he gave the mic to Gev. For those of you who don't know Gev is from Salt Lake. So is Chelsie and Thayne. Thayne didn't actually make the top 10, but they had him and Chelsie (don't remember her last name but she was Thayne's partner) there helping to MC. They also performed the group dances and one of their pieces. That's the only time those two danced. My favorite dance was Bleeding Love with Chelsie and Mark. Again...AMAZING! That was the one dance that got the most applause and standing ovations. My favorite part was Gev in the different outfits. I guess I should explain. They had Courtney come out and introduce a few dances from different countries. Each time she had a couple of dancers come out in the "traditional dress". Gev came out each time and of course he was in a dress each time too. He was acting like nothing was wrong. You just had to be there, but he is hilarious! The comments he made literally made me laugh til my ribs hurt. I wanted to take pictures, but my batteries don't keep the charge anymore and Sandee forgot hers. So, sorry I don't have any pictures :( I can't wait til next year to see what happens! I will definitely go again!

After going to SYTYCD I got thinking about how many concerts I go to. I really go to a lot. Whether they are of bands, plays, or dances, I do go to a lot. The majority are band concerts though :) I tried to think about how many I have been to, but I can't think at the moment and I don't have that much time. My next post I will list all of the concerts I have been to since April 2007, since that is when Sandee corrupted me into listening to the bands she likes. I gave in and now I LOVE them! So check back and I will have a list :) Adios!

WHY??

Yes, yes, I know..another blog of me ranting and raving about customers. I just want to know why? Why do they feel like they can treat me like dirt? Why do they feel like they can yell at me, especially when it's not my fault? I am a human being too. I have feelings too. Can someone please explain this to me???

Now I am not saying that every customer is like this. I do have those who are all jolly when they call or come in and say how much they appreciate me and helping them (I like those customers Ü ), but then I have those who treat me like I am a piece of dirt. They think they can kick me around and that they have authority over me. I am just sick of it! And I know that every job there will be customers like that. I just want to know WHY?? Does anyone have any insight into this?

Busy Busy Busy

First, I am sorry that I have been slacking on my blogging. School started...enough said! Actually I am not as busy as I would have expected. I actually finished my keyboarding class the first day of school. I had to take a five minute timed typing test and I had to pass with 45wpm and less then 10 errors. I passed with 69wpm and 2 errors. Now I don't have to buy the book and do all the assignments! I was really happy when I saw my results :) Now I just have 3 classes this semester: Intro to LAN Networking, Exploring Multimedia Applications, and Advanced Word Processing. My LAN class I new would be easy because I have the same professor I had last semester for the prereq class. I knew how he taught his class and the last one I got almost 100% in. So, I knew what to expect. I wasn't sure how my Multimedia class was going to be, but it seems pretty easy so far. And we only have one test, the final. We mainly have class participation points. So that's pretty cool. Then my Word class is online, so I figured we would have a lot of assignments and test, but nope! He has us do the assignment to prepare us for the test, but we don't turn it in. And the assignments take about an hour to do total, and there are only 5 tests I think, so I am not afraid about that class either. My goal this semester is to get a 4.0 since all the classes are pretty easy. We shall see! :)

Another exciting thing that happened this week was finding out I can waive my practicum (which is like an internship if you didn't know). I talked to the professor who is over it and asked her what I need to do and she asked me my work experience. I told her I have been an office manager for almost 5 years and she said with my experience I could probably waive it. All I have to do is write her a letter stating everything I do at work and then she will present it to the department and they will decide if I can waive it. She seemed pretty confident that I would be able to. That would be so nice because that way I won't have another job and I will only have two classes next semester then I'm done! Now I just need to write the letter. I am a little afraid though because not all my classes have helped me in my job. I mainly work with Quickbooks and they don't have a class on that. I do make spreadsheets, and tables, and my accounting class helped, but I am afraid they will think that's not enough. I guess I will just write it and see what happens! Ü
